Apple is asking for assistance from photographers for the development of Aperture.

The company has requested that photographers send Raw photos in so that it can improve Mac OS X’s Raw processing.

"If you have images that you feel exemplify particular aspects of Raw handling that require improvement, you can submit these to Apple for testing and evaluation purposes," says the company.

While the original request was made to a select group of photographers, Apple seems to have extended the appeal to anyone seriously interested in helping, according to a report by Rob Galbraith.

Galbraith's article includes instructions for submitting images to an FTP site.
