The DJ Console is a completely portable DJ controller for MP3s. It ships bundled with native Instrument's powerful Traktor DJ Studio software for the Mac.
The USB device lets users play, mix and manipulate MP3s and other digital audio files (AIFF, WAV, CD-Audio and MP4/AAC) emulating everything a DJ can do with record decks, the company claims.
Features include an integrated 24-bit multi-channel (5.1) soundboard; twin platters for cueing tracks; traditional channel sliders; digital I/O and MIDI connections.
Director of the Hercules Audio Division, Bruno Ormel, said: "The PC version of the product was extremely well-received by the DJ community, so we were keen to develop a Mac edition in line with Apple's dedication to digital music."
The company updated its hardware and drivers to introduce Mac compatibility, and won the support of Native Instruments.
Native Instruments marketing director, Florian Haver, said: "When we first came across the Hercules DJ Console, we realised right away the hardware would be a great match for our Traktor DJ software."
The product costs £199.
