HP has introduced a sub-£100 entry-level digital camera, the HP Photosmart 120.

The camera can capture up to 35-seconds of video, sports a 3.6-inch LCD screen for viewing images, and uses CompactFlash for image-storage. The device offers point-and-click simplicity for novice digital camera users.

Tim Potter, HP’s UK image-capture product manager, explained: “The HP Photosmart 120 is HP’s most affordable digital camera. It’s a compact, easy-to-use digital camera that’s perfect for consumers taking their first steps into the digital camera market.”

The 260.2g (with batteries) device has a one-megapixel resolution, 4MB of internal memory and a 2x digital zoom. It includes image-editing software for the Mac, and costs £99 including VAT.
