HP has announced four new Deskjet printers – the 960c, 940c, 920c and 845c.

The HP Deskjet 960c is the high-end model. It offers an automatic paper-sensor to detect paper type and weight. It also integrates HP's PhotoRet III technology for high resolution printing, and offers 15 pages per minute in black, and 12ppm in colour.

The Deskjet 940c also integrates HP's proprietary precision-technology PhotoRet III, as do the 920c and 845c. The 845c offers label-printing, a 100-sheet paper tray and print speeds of 8ppm for black and 5ppm for colour.

Phil Hall, HP's UK inkjet manager said: "With this new line-up, HP offers well-designed, leading edge products designed to facilitate the needs of all its customers, ranging from business professionals to Macintosh users and digital photography enthusiasts."

All four printers are available from Monday, October 1. The HP deskjet 960c costs £149, the 940c £99, the 920c is £89, and the 845c is £79. All prices include VAT.
