HP has announced the HP PSC 1205 - a combination printer, scanner and copier.

The company claims the PSC 1205 is the smallest such product available in the world.

The £99 (inc. VAT) device offers 10ppm (pages per minute) in colour and 12ppm in black-&-white. It utilizes the company's PhotoREt III technology to help optimize the device to a resolution of 4,800-x-1,200dpi when printing.

The cross-platform all-in-one doubles up as a copier, and offers automatic text and photo enhancement features. The product uses two ink cartridges - one black, and one in colour.

HP has equipped the product with dual CCD (charge-coupled device) sensor technology, which it claims offers a resolution up to 19,200dpi-enhanced and a 36-bit colour depth when used as a scanner. The USB device offers a 100-sheet paper tray and supports Mac OS X and 9.x.
