The MPEG Industry Forum (MPEGIF) and the Internet Streaming Media Alliance (ISMA) will hold an all-day session entitled MPEG Technologies – Setting New Standards at the International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) in Amsterdam.
The session, on Sunday, September 12, will include five forums that will discuss topics ranging from new video distribution models, to emerging MPEG technologies and the adoption and availability of the new advanced video codec, H.264/AVC.
Both organizations will unveil their respective certification programmes, the MPEGIF Logo Qualification Program and the ISMA Conformance Program.
MPEGIF seeks to advance the adoption of MPEG standards in the digital multimedia market. The ISMA is a global alliance of nearly 40 industry leaders in standards-based content management, distribution infrastructure, and streaming media.
