Alexander Clauss & the iCab company has released iCab preview 2.0.

The Web browser has minimal system requirements. Version 2.0 can save the History and the Hotlist (favourites) as an HTML file. Aborted downloads can be resumed, and JavaScript support has been improved, but remains unfinished.

Not all of iCab’s features have been completed, but most are fully-functional in v 2.0. Implemented features include HTML 4 support, image filtering, cookie filtering and the ability to search multiple search engines.

Preview versions of the browser are available for both Power PCs and 68K Macs. The preview expires in August 2000.

iCab preview 2.0 requires 4MB RAM and Mac OS 7.0.1 or later. It can be downloaded from iCab’s Web site.
