Five Speed Software has released iGet 2.1, a free update for its file-transfer tool for Macs.

The update offers new features and user-requested improvements, such as an automatic update system. iGet is a Universal binary for both Intel and PowerPC-based Macs.

iGet's remote Spotlight search capability, which allows users to search remote Macs, has also been improved. Other enhancements include better reporting and troubleshooting for network configuration problems, and several fixes for issues discovered since the previous release.

iGet 2.1 is available now. Registration costs $49.95.
