Apple UK has released details about its iLife Up-to-Date program, which lets new Mac users upgrade to the package on its release on January 25.

Customers who purchase a qualifying new Mac with a built-in Apple SuperDrive (DVD-R/CD-RW) on or after January 7, 2003, that does not include iLife can upgrade to the suite for £14, rather than its standard price of £39.

Announced at Macworld Expo San Francisco earlier this month, iLife is Apple's collection of iApps, which includes: iTunes 3, iPhoto 2, iMovie 3 and iDVD 3. All the applications will also be available for free download, with the exception of iDVD 3, which will only be available with iLife.

To take advantage of the upgrade deal, users need to fill in a form and despatch this to Apple, along with the dated sales receipt for the Mac. Terms and conditions apply, so check Apple's site for details. The offer ends March 29 2003.
