Macworld and Digit magazines, in association with Adobe, have launched a new online IDG-title - Webcreate. Webcreate is the first dedicated Web site for the UK’s digital-design community.

For the launch of the new site, Adobe is offering a fantastic prize for submissions to the Webcreate Showcase - where designers can upload their SWF creations for others to see - the complete Adobe Web Collection plus Apple’s Power Mac G4 Cube. The competition is open until October 31. Projects should be uploaded in .swf format.

What you get A variety of content is available on Webcreate, including the Showcase section and links to valuable resources - such as Digit and Macworld’s online Daily News services, and opinion pieces from top-design experts. The site also has a Discussion Forum and Creative Spotlight articles focusing on projects created by leading Web-designers in the UK. All the information contained in the original print version of Webcreate, which shifted over 130,000 copies, is also available on the site.

Aimed at Webmasters, designers, visionaries and online creatives of all kinds, Webcreate is intended to be the premiere place on the Web for digital designers to meet, exchange ideas, show off their skills and keep up-to-date with new-media developments and issues.
