iPod digital audio chipmaker Wolfson Electronics will announce an indicative price for its forthcoming stock flotation today, Reuters reports.

The Scottish-based company also makes integrated circuits for Microsoft's Xbox games console. The flotation is expected to value the company at around £200 million in the largest new technology isssue in London since 2000.

The announcement will kickstart a two-week travelling presentation to potential investors in Europe and the US. The order book closes on October 13, said Reuters.

The company was originally spun-out of Edinburgh University. The share issue is designed to boost the company's liquidity and cash assets on hand, and is also expected to transform some of the company's staff into millionaires.
