Apple has announced plans to begin selling iPod minis in South Korea.

The company's local agents announced the intention this morning there, according to Yonhap News.

Apple intends selling the product there "from Friday", the report states, but it is not clear if this means July 16 or July 23. Apple has announced its intent to sell the product internationally from July 24.

"The price is set at 341,000 won ($293), about $50 higher than in the United States," the report adds.
