Forget en-suite bathrooms, sea views and room service. If your hotel isn't offering an iPod, frankly it's not good enough.

A number of luxury hotels in America are offering their guests access to an iPod for the duration of their stay.

Hotels offering such luxury include: Las Ventanas al Paraiso resort in Los Cabos, Mexico, the Crescent in Beverly Hills, and Dream in Manhattan.

The Dream iPods are available from the concierge and plug into Bose speakers in the hotel room. They come preloaded with 2,000 songs, reports Silicon.

At The Cresent iPods are available in each room. They come preloaded with jazz, lounge and electronica music.
