nova media has released updated phone plug-ins for iSync for Mac OS X 10.4.7 and iSync 2.3.

The company said the new software was required because of certain software changes invoked within the latest iteration of Apple's OS.

"Apple just did it again and changed the iSync© structure with iSync 2.3, rendering many third-party plugins useless," said Jan Fuellemann, PR spokesperson at nova media. "We have already send a free update to all registered users and our new release 3.0 is fully compatible with iSync 2.3."

The list of new devices adds 30 mobile phones from Motorola, Nokia, BenQ-Siemens and Sony Ericsson. Support for these enables the smooth synchronisation of calendar and contact data with a Mac OS X computer running 10.4.7 and iSync 2.3.

The nova media phone plugins are available for download. They cost €9.95 (plus VAT).
