ITV wants a slice of the emerging mobile video market, a leading executive there confirmed yesterday.

Speaking to Reuters, ITV's director of its newly-formed consumer division Jeff Henry discussed the plans, and confirmed the firm plans "imminent" acquisitions to help drive growth.

The company plans to generate "at least" half its revenues from outside ITV1 by 2012.

The company launched ITV Mobile last month, the report points out, observing the ABC channel's recent move to make five of its most popular TV shows available through iTunes.
