Apple CEO Steve Jobs is one of the top 50 movers and shakers of the information age, according to Vanity Fair.

Jobs was ranked tenth in the list, which is dominated by figures from entertainment and technology companies.

Two of Jobs' rivals – Microsoft chairman Bill Gates and CEO Steve Ballmer – were ranked two and five respectively. Steve Case, chairman of AOL/Time Warner, topped the list.

The magazine's rankings uses stock prices and business performance to determine placings.
