Wired has published its write-up for Apple CEO Steve Jobs, who it declared was "Renegade of the Year" earlier this month.

Jobs, the report states, is "setting the agenda in digital entertainment".

The report looks at how he managed to convince the music industry to trust Apple - despite the company's early Rip, Mix, Burn slogan, which one label exec described as "like saying 'f**k you, record labels'," according to Wired.

With iTunes Music Store, Jobs has "made the world safe for legal music downloads; we will never look back".

The report also describes Jobs' contest with Walt Disney, and the impact of his decisions on Disney CEO Michael Eisner's job security.

"Jobs has suddenly become the hottest man in Hollywood," the report concludes.
