Steve Jobs is to kick off Macworld Expo New York with a keynote speech, the show organizer has confirmed.

Jobs will give the presentation at 9.00 am on the opening day of the Expo, which runs at the Jacob Javits Convention Center July 19 to 21. The conference program begins the day before, on July 18.

"Steve has told us this will be a keynote that you won't want to miss," said Rob Scheschareg, vice president of IDG World Expo, the show's producer.

A list of exhibitors that have signed up so far has been posted on the Macworld Expo Web site.
