Sony Connect expects to launch its European music download store by the end of June.

Sony sources told Digital Music News that its European store is scheduled to "go live between June 21 and 30".

Although it has not yet been confirmed which European countries the service will go live in, according to Digital Music News, Connect Europe recently inked deals with independent labels in the UK, France and Germany, adding 75,000 tracks to its catalogue.

Connect's arrival follows that of Napster – which launched in the UK on May 20, and iTunes – which is expected to launch in the UK, Germany and France on June 15.
