The saga of the Mac version of Stephen King's eBook, Riding the Bullet, is finally over.
Amazon.com and Adobe have got together to provide a method for Macintosh users to download and read the book, which was published earlier this month exclusively in electronic format by Simon & Schuster.
Soon after its publication, it became apparent that none of the vendors selling the book supported Mac downloads, causing much annoyance among Mac owners.
Stephen King himself expressed his horror at the way his Macintosh-using fans were being treated, and promised a Mac version.
Now, Adobe is using PDF merchant to provide eBook support for Amazon.com, and a Mac-compatible version is available on Amazon's Web site.
