Kodak is recalling about 75,000 DC5000 Zoom digital cameras sold worldwide.

Consumers have reported receiving electric shocks from the DC5000, the company says.

The electric shocks can occur while changing batteries and installing or removing the memory card or USB cable.

No serious injuries have been sustained, but Kodak advises people "stop using the product immediately".

The brand name and model number are written on the front of the camera in the bottom right-hand corner.

Consumers and business users are advised to contact Kodak recall, or call the Kodak Digital Service Centre on 0870 243 0270 between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday.
