Kodak has cut by 25 per cent the price of its flagship professional digital cameras - the DCS 560 and the DCS 660. Both are now £14,995, down from £19,995.

The six megapixel, FireWire-equipped DCS 660 comes in a Nikon F5 SLR body, offering calibrated colour response, auto-white balance and dual PCMCIA slots.

Other features include a burst-rate of one frame per second for three frames, a 36-bit colour depth and built-in histogram.

The DCS 560 has the same level of performance but is the Canon-based equivalent.
