LaCie UK has cut prices across its product range, the company announced yesterday.

The discounts apply to PocketDrives, USB 2.0 and FireWire hard drives, CD-RW drives and CD duplicators. LaCie's recently-released FireWire DVD-R/RAM drive has also seen its price cut - from £499 to £449.

The 20GB PocketDrive now costs £169, down from £199. The 40GB PocketDrive is also reduced by £30 to £269.

Hard-drive discount LaCie's 80GB USB 2.0 hard drive now costs £189, rather than £199. The company's also cut the cost of its FireWire hard drives. The newly introduced 160GB FireWire drive now costs £379; the 120GB drive costs £299 (down from £319); the 80GB version has been reduced to £219. Lower capacity drives have also seen price cuts - the 60GB drive now costs £179; while the 40GB drive's new price is £149.

LaCie has cut the cost of its CD-RWs, too. Its USB2 24x-10x-40x CD-RW is now £139, while the 32x-10x-40x unit now costs £189. LaCie's FireWire 24x-10x-40x falls £30 to £159. The 32x-10x-40x FireWire CD-RW now costs £199, a 10 per cent discount. LaCie's newly-launched dual USB and FireWire 32x-10x-40x hard drive costs £229.

LaCie's Dupli 121 one-drive CD duplicator now costs £449, while the Dupli 125 five-drive CD duplicator costs £1,499 from today. Details regarding all these products are available from LaCie's Web site.
