Wholly-owned Apple subsidiary Emagic has released a service release software update for Logic Platinum – 6.3.2.

The update for the professional music production software package is available online, it offers improved Mac OS X 10.3 (Panther) compatibility, and alternative ways to handle Apple's OS-level Core Audio drivers.

The company explains: "Logic always compensated the Core Audio driver latency so that recorded audio appeared at exactly the intended position in the Arrange window. Unfortunately, some drivers are reporting a wrong latency value – causing Logic to fail in this task. In these cases you can now set a manual value for driver latency compensation".

Also new with this release is the ability to record on track number 128 or higher; visible I/O labels from the driver; and file-name sorting for multiple samples. The update introduces support for Digidesign's ProTools|HD Accel system
