iPod users can go one step further in throwing potential muggers off the scent of their iPod, they can hid their music player on their person, without a cord to give away its location.

Logitech is set to launch a set of Bluetooth headphones designed for the iPod this July.

Logitech can't claim to be the first to provide wire-free headphones to iPod users – Macally, TEN and Bluetake already offer such headphones.

The headphones use Bluetooth 1.2 for adaptive frequency hopping, and Logitech claims they have a range of 30 feet. They feature a rechargeable headset and iPod controls are integrated on the side of the headphones. The headphones feature a 40 mm full-range neodymium driver, which provide rich audio and enhanced bass performance, according to Logitech.
