A group of 20 Manchester-based filmmakers is to put its entirely Mac-produced work online.

The filmmakers, part of the IDEA (Innovation in Digital Electronic Art) training organization, used iMacs, G3s, G4s and even Quadras to produce 30 films, that will be online from December 17.

The films range from "spy-cam movies from the underground", to The Cull, by Neil Bell - about a Prozac-crazed, cannibal priest.

The movies will also be shown at the DADI building, Grosvenor Street, Manchester.

The organizers say the low-budget, global box-office smash Blair Witch Project paves the way "to a new kind of film-making with a different audience and viewing experience in mind".
