The UK Mac Dealer Association is giving away 1,000 brand-new Gravis MouseStick II joysticks and MacGamePad game controllers.
The Gravis MacMouseStick II features five programmable fire buttons; eight adjustable handle tension settings; a full-sized handle with metal shaft and bearings; programmable stick control; left or right-handed use; and a fast-action control accelerator/controller.
The Gravis MacGamePad, with its built-in mini joystick, features: four programmable fire buttons; left or right-handed use; and a fast-action control accelerator/controller.
Both devices use Apple's older legacy ADB connection that featured on on all beige Macs prior to the iMac and Blue G3s, and most pre-G4 PowerBooks. However, according to the Mac Dealer Association, both devices work with the Griffin iMate USB adapter.
According to the Association, both devices will work with all games software from Mac OS 7.1 to OS 9.2. It also states that the Gravis products work with any OS 9 games running in Mac OS X's Classic mode, and in some OS X games that support sprocket game devices.
To order a Gravis MouseStick II joystick or MacGamePad send £5 per device being ordered – to cover post and packing – by cheque, postal order or cash, to the following address. Include name, address and details of which device is being ordered.
