Script Software has announced new software that displays song lyrics within iTunes visualisations.

The company has added a new iVisualize feature to its $30 iStar Composer software, which synchronises lyrics with a song's audio content. The software can be used for editing and displaying lyrics and text that are linked to the progress of audio within a song.

iVisualize enhances lets Mac users running iTunes see the lyrics in full screen within iTunes. It also lets users create new visualisers for the application.

Julian Miller, CEO of Script Software says: "It won't be long before a downloadable song will be judged not just on quality, availability, price, but also on extras embedded in the file, such as synchronised lyrics and album art. Many musicians who have been looking for an edge are adding karaoke-style lyrics from iStar Composer to satisfy their fans."
