Apple has quietly reduced the size of the power adaptor it ships with MacBook Pros, a report claims.

As originally shipped, MacBook Pro 85-watt MagSafe power adaptors measure 10-x-8-x-2.5cms, a fairly bulky accessory to tote around. Now this has changed, an EnGadget report explains.

The second generation model (available right now only when users buy a separate power adaptor from Apple) is smaller, matching the dimensions of the power brick shipped with consumer MacBooks.

The new power supplies aren't yet being shipped with new MacBook Pros, some recent purchasers claim. The Apple Store (US) offers a 3-4 week wait for shipping the new device, EnGagdet observes.
