Image Recognition Integrated Systems is planning a series of announcements at MacExpo tomorrow.

The company, which specializes in automatic document-recognition and optical character-recognition solutions will introduce a new range of products for Mac OS X during the show.

Readiris Pro 7 for Mac OS X is a solution for converting paper documents into editable electronic files. It can transfer printed documents into editable digital assets, but does so while maintaining the original page formatting.

The company will also introduce an Asian OCR add-on for Readiris Pro 7. This recognises four Asian languages – Japanese, Korean, and simplified and traditional Chinese.

Image Recognition Integrated Systems is also preparing the global launch of its Business Card software add-on for Readiris Pro 7 for Mac OS X. This works with a scanner to input business-card contact information. The company will also release a business-card scanner.

More information on these products is available from the company's Web site. Pricing will be announced at the show.
