MacExpo hits London next week, opening at Islington's Business Design Centre on Thursday November 20 and running until Saturday November 22.

A number of UK resellers will be present, including AM Micro, Cancom, Compu B, Computers Unlimited, Computer Warehouse, Dreamtek, Gasteiner, Micro Anvika, Microtek, and Rapid Group.

The Rapid Group, Dreamtek and Computer Warehouse's activity at the show is detailed below.

Rapid Group

Rapid Group is sponsoring the Digital Photography Trail at MacExpo, designed to direct photography enthusiasts to keynotes, masterclasses and seminars that will be of particular interest to them.

The Mac reseller will also offer a two hour digital photography masterclass, with tips from Photoshop guru Guy Gowan.

The class will cover image capture, retouching, montaging, cutouts, and high-quality image output. Gowan will offer tips on new features in Photoshop CS, and demonstrate integration with other Adobe Creative Suite products such as Illustrator CS.

The session costs £60 for one session. Admission to the show is included in the price.

Rapid will also host a Digital Photography Workstation at its stand (815), offering punters the chance to see a complete digital workflow in action and putting the likes of Canon, Kodak, Fujifilm, HP, Epson, Xerox, Adobe, Colour Collective head-to-head.

Computers Unlimited

Computers Unlimited (CU) will be demonstrating Epson’s latest range of wide-format printers, including the Stylus Pro 4000, on stand 30.

Attendees have the opportunity to book one-to-one demonstrations at the show. CU is offering the chance to bring along a CD with files for printing, and will produce samples that can be taken away.

Dreamtek seminars

Dreamtek is sponsoring a number of seminars and masterclasses at MacExpo. An introduction to Digital Video,will run from 10-11am on each day of the expo. Award-winning designer Jon Hamilton will give an introduction to digital video using Final Cut Express in this free seminar.

From 1-2pm every day Dreamtek will run a masterclass entitled: Professional Music Production with Emagic Logic. Music producer Robin Barter will demonstrate the high-end world of visual effects and motion graphics with Discreet's Combustion.

And 3-5pm each day will see Grant Kay, UK Combustion Application Engineer for Discreet Combustion, demonstrate Final Cut Pro and DVD Studio Pro in a masterclass.

The Final Cut Express seminar is free. The masterclasses cost £60 per session (or £100 if two are booked). Admission to the show, normally £10, is included in that price.
