Macromedia has begun initial testing of the next version of ColdFusion server software.

Cnet reports the next version will offer features aimed at the electronic forms market, including form creation tools based on Flash and and XML variant. The effect will be to furnish forms that work better.

The new server software will also include new report-generation tools, and the ability to present Web data using graphics and charts. Better support for print is also promised.

Interoperability with other applications, such as instant messaging systems is also promised, the report claims.
