Macromedia's annual Developer Conference, Devcon 2001, will this year take place from October 21-24 at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin hotel in Florida.

"For the past two years, DevCon has helped our innovative ColdFusion and JRun community spark new ideas and advance application-server development," said Jeremy Allaire, Macromedia's chief technology officer. "I'm looking forward to sharing our vision for the application server space, and learning with our developers how we can help them create amazing user experiences."

DevCon 2001 will feature 65 technical and training sessions, covering ColdFusion and JRun development, server management, user-interface creation using Macromedia Flash and Dreamweaver UltraDev, and Web-development solutions. It will also offer workshops, discussions and product demonstrations.

Early registration costs $895.
