Apple UK has published a case study looking at the work of prolific London-based music producer Mark 'Spike' Stent, whose credits include: Massive Attack, KLF, Madonna, U2, Oasis and Bjork.

"From a creative point of view Apple technology is the only option," says Stent, who runs a suite of Power Macs running a 48-track Digidesign Pro Tools system in his studio.

"When we designed the studio we recognised that hard disc recording was the way forward," he says. The technology has been particularly useful in Stent's work with Mac-friendly musicians, Massive Attack.

Stent began his career with a Mac Classic in the late eighties. He says: "I've been using Macs for a long time and it’s unlikely that I’d ever work with anything else."
