MacSpeech, which specializes in voice recognition on the Mac, has released its new Software Developer Kit (SDK).

The SDK lets Macintosh software developers take full advantage of MacSpeech technologies when building applications.

Chuck Rogers, of MacSpeech, said: "This SDK provides a complete integrated solution for developers who want to provide a voice interface for their products."

In related news, ZDNet said Friday that Apple is developing a handwriting software recognition bundle for the Mac, which it predicts will ship alongside Mac OS X in early 2001.
