Apple has seen another high-level resignation with the departure of Steve Wilhite, the company's vice president of marketing communications.

The news comes shortly after the resignation of Mitch Mandich, Apple's ex-vice president of worldwide sales. Apple has also restructured its US and international education sales groups, and revamped it's marketing for consumer and retail sales.

Wilhite joined Apple in 1999 after nine years running Volkswagen's US marketing operations. He was credited with restoring the fortunes of the motor manufacturer in the US. Apple has not said why he left.
