Microsoft has released the 10.1.3 update for Microsoft Office v.X.

The updater addresses issues with the Italian Spelling and French Proofing Tools, according to Microsoft. "If you are using these tools, we recommend you run this installer," says Microsoft.

The update addresses the following Italian spelling problems: extended characters are now displayed correctly in custom dictionaries; and words can now be added to such dictionaries.

The following issues have been addressed for users of the French Proofing Tools: The em-dash character appears as Ñ in French grammar tools; words including extended characters are not added to Custom Dictionary correctly; some words with extended characters are not displayed as synonyms in the Thesaurus; and only one word can be added to the Custom Dictionary in Entourage.

The release is a 1.5MB download, available from Microsoft's Mactopia Web site.
