Macworld Expo San Francisco next January has been expanded to offer more focus on the Mac's place in the digital creative ecosystem.

Show organisers IDG World Expo have added a new show section, called 'The Macworld Digital Lifestyle Experience' to the floor plan.

Each featured technology in the new zone will offer top-level education and hands-on demonstrations of how Mac OS X tools and related technologies can be used. The attractions are part of an aggressive expansion to be showcased in Moscone's North Hall along with new exhibits and educational features.

Members of Macworld's US staff will be on-hand to answer questions and provide demonstrations, tips and techniques in each of the showcased areas.

Attendees will be able to explore three new zones:

- The Macworld Digital Photography experience;
- The Macworld Digital Video experience;
- The Macworld Digital Music and Sound experience.

"The whole purpose of creating the Macworld Digital Lifestyle Experience is to demonstrate how Mac OS X tools and technology can empower users to express themselves, communicate, and create," said Paul Kent, vice president, Macworld Conference and Expo.

Macworld Expo San Francisco takes place between 8-12 January 2007 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.
