Bare Bones Software is offering a discount on Mac OS X BBEdit 6.1 - despite its absence from Macworld Expo New York.

Though not exhibiting at this year's New York Expo, Bare Bones Software has launched a promotion dubbed the "Not-at-the-Show" special. BBEdit 6.1 can be purchased for $79 - excluding shipping - from July 17 to 20. It usually retails for $119 in the US. The normal price in the UK is £99. A free "It doesn't suck T-shirt" also ships with the purchase.

An online application form can be downloaded for this offer.

Registered owners of BBEdit version 2.5 and later can upgrade to BBEdit 6.1 for $39 and receive the free T-shirt.

BBEdit is a Mac HTML and text editor. The program features a set of palette-based HTML tools, an HTML syntax checker, an HTML-aware spell checker, syntax colouring, and a Web-safe colour palette.
