Macworld Conference and Expo in San Francisco set a new Mac-event attendance world record, with over 93,000 people visiting between 9-12 January.

President and CEO of IDG World Expo, Charlie Greco, said: "The record crowd underscores the Mac's incredible appeal among consumers and professionals alike. We're thrilled to see tens of thousands of new and long-standing Mac fans flock to Macworld to see innovative new products."

Over 250,000 people watched the Web-streaming of Apple CEO Steve Jobs's Expo keynote. Jobs unveiled a series of new products such as the Titanium PowerBook G4 and the new Power Mac G4.

The next Macworld Conference and Expo will be held at the Jacob K Javits Convention Center, New York, from July 17-20.
