In the wake of rumours of new mini iPods, a number of Mac developers have announced plans to introduce iPod peripherals at Macworld Expo San Francisco.

XtremeMac will demo an extended distance, high-fidelity, wireless audio-streaming technology that broadcasts from an audio source such as the iPod to a device at distances of over 300 feet. XtremeMac will also unveil the SportWrap iPod Armband.

Griffin Technology will announce iTalk – an iPod voice recorder that will ship in April. The device can record from a source up to 100 feet away, and an external microphone can be connected directly to iTalk for more recording options.

Belkin’s TuneCast II FM transmitter for Apple's iPod scans all FM frequencies from 88.1-107.9MHz, and selects the best available frequency. It can’t be used in the UK.

RadTech will announce a new PodSleevz – a full-coverage protective sleeve case for third generation iPods. According to the company the form-fitting case is the first to fully envelope the iPod while allowing operation of the devices touch control buttons through the case.
