eZedia has released what it is calling the "next generation in multimedia authoring software for the Web" – a native Mac OS X version of eZediaQTI 2, its interactive QuickTime authoring software for creating Internet content and movies.
The company claims that users can quickly combine and enhance video, graphics, animation, sound, VR and text to create Web sites, Internet banners, online presentations, and interactive videos "with no programming knowledge required".
eZedia President and Founder of eZedia Stefan Embleton said: "eZediaQTI 2.0 takes full advantage of Apple's new operating system, Panther, and is the first of its kind to give users a quick-&-easy way to create rich media web deliverable content as an interactive QuickTime movie.
"This release breaks even more boundaries by offering many advanced features including full support for scripting using AppleScript. This extends eZediaQTI's functionality and automates repetitive tasks to produce extraordinary interactive online content."
The application has been entirely re-written in Cocoa and offers a new interface featuring an Attributes Panel that allows direct access to object information for easier editing and enhancing of media.
Other new features include: the ability to customize button colours, shapes, and text; built in spell-check; improved text handling with advanced formatting capabilities; and toolbar button access to the new eZedia Media Library with containing themed templates and movies.
eZediaQTI 2 will cost $99. UK pricing is to be confirmed.
