Final Cut Pro users and broadcast professionals from around the world will gather in Las Vegas on Wednesday April 26 as part of giant US broadcasting trade show, NAB 2006.

They will meet at the Rio Hotel's Brasilia Ball Room for the Fifth Annual FCPUG SuperMeet, which has been organised by the Los Angeles Final Cut Pro User Group.

Macworld UK hosts the forums for the UK Final Cut Pro User Group.

"This is the fifth year we have put on this show," said Michael Horton, head of the Los Angeles Final Cut Pro User Group. "Each year gets bigger and bigger and we expect more than 1,000 people to show up this year. We call it a "SuperMeet" because that is what it has become. FCP User Groups from around the world meet up once a year at NAB."

While the agenda hasn't been set yet, Horton promised that developers from Apple would be on hand. He also offered attendees a chance to share new techniques, see new products and "have a great time".

Over a dozen vendors, some of whom will not be on the NAB show floor, will also be on hand showing off their products. Tickets cost $15 each.
