Version 7.5 of Media 100i has made its debut at the NAB (National Association of Broadcasters) show.

Unveiled yesterday at the Las Vegas event, Media 100i version 7.5 is a family of digital-media creation systems for the Macintosh platform.

Media 100i allows content creators to edit digital-media content, process effects from a variety of applications - including Adobe's After Effects and the built-in Boris FX - and output project files for a variety of broadcast and online delivery methods.

Codec improvements The latest features of this release include "lossless" video compression. The software's lossless codec technology contains algorithms that enable superior image-quality, Media 100 claims. The company adds that the new version offers high data efficiencies throughout the entire workflow - including data acquisition, editing, designing effects and delivering to multiple broadcast mediums.

Four different versions are available: the £2,195 Media 100i 7.5 LEDV; the £4,195 Media 100i 7.5 LX; the £13,195 Media 100i 7.5 XS; and the £13,195 Media 100i 7.5 XR.

Support for the lossless codec comes as standard on Media 100i XR, and is available as an option for Media 100i XS and LX systems.
