Napster is considering a move into online movie and game distribution, the company revealed this week.

Speaking at France's Midem music conference this week Napster chairman and CEO Chris Gorog discussed potential application of the company's 'business model' to such services, according to the Financial Times.

"We are currently considering moving into video, particularly to tap the younger video game generation," he said.

In related news, Napster has recruited Thorsten Schliesche as general manager and vice-president of Napster Germany, and plans a German service later this year.
