NatWest is gearing up to offer online banking on the Mac, and is running a small pilot scheme with selected Mac owners to test the service.

Other banks already claim to offer Mac owners online banking facilities, including Citibank, Barclays, Lloyds Bank and the Co-operative Bank. The Norwich & Peterborough’s NetMaster account also works with the Mac, though it was not originally designed with the Mac in mind.

The PC world has enjoyed online banking for some time now. Most online banks require the most up-to-date browsers, and computers capable of handling memory-intensive Java scripts.
