Apple UK managing director Mark Rogers has described CEO Steve Jobs' Macworld Expo keynote announcements as "revolutionary, innovative and compelling".

Rogers expects punters to be bowled over by the new iMacs, iPhoto, and the upgraded iBook range.

He said: "It is a lot of software and hardware to be releasing, but it whets people's appetites for more creative things. Apple is pushing the boat out, because that's the concept of innovating."

On the launch of the new iMac, Rogers said: "I saw it a few months ago, and think it's stunning. You can imagine having it in your room and the jealous response you'll get from friends."

When questioned on how Apple plans to top these announcements at July's New York Macworld Expo, Rogers remained tight-lipped: "Apple doesn't comment on future products."
