Canon has launched the Digital Ixus i – Canon's smallest digital camera ever.

The 4-megapixel model includes a 32MB SD memory card, a 5.7x digital zoom, and weighs 100 grams. It can record up to three minutes of audio-video interleave (AVI) video at up to 320-x-240 pixels.

The Ixus i uses intelligent scene-analysis (iSAPS) technology to deliver fast focusing and perfect exposures, according to the company.

The Ixus i will be available from October 2003 for £299 including VAT.
