Apple has introduced new dual-processor Power Macs across the range, introduced SuperDrive-equipped eMacs, and cut prices on some models of 15-inch LCD iMac.

The new Power Macs offer up to dual-1.25Ghz processors, with several performance-boosting enhancements. These include: a faster system bus, fast new graphics cards, 64-bit PCI connectivity, and up to 2GB DDR RAM. They cost from £1,349 (including VAT).

The introduction of a SuperDrive-equipped eMac means Mac users can today author DVDs for just £1,249.

The company is also offering up to £300 savings against its flat-panel displays for Power Mac purchasers. Read the full reports.
