Mac news blogs have began posting sightings of iPhone displays appearing in Apple Stores across the US. TUAW notes that a "large, covered rectangular display" appeared at the 5th Avenue Apple Store on Thursday night with photos appearing online shortly after. Similar displays have also been snapped in Hollywood.

Meanwhile AT&T, the US' only carrier to offer Apple's iPhone, has hired 2,000 temporary store workers to staff its company-owned stores for launch of the phone. AT&T and Apple plan to start selling the device across the US at 6pm local time on June 29th.
